Boys' basketball: Lonzo Ball, De'Anthony Melton, Eyassu Worku are ready to make college debutsLonzo Ball (Chino Hills), De'Anthony Melton (Crespi) and Eyassu Worku (Los Alamitos) were three of the best senior guards in California last season. Now they're ready to make their collegiate debuts, and their new coaches reported great progress on Tuesday during the kickoff luncheon for SoCal college basketball coaches at the Los Angeles Athletic Club. Ball is at UCLA, Melton is at USC and Worku is at UC Irvine. USC Coach Andy Enfield said Melton has had a "tremendous fall training camp." The season begins next month.

The Melton hype train continues to gain momentum. Excited to finally see him play a college game.
If he can be decent as primary ballhandler / offense facilitator, play good defense against 1's and 2's and rebound well for his position he should really help team and get ~20 mpg. Any 3 point range or scoring from him would be gravy in Year 1
I like the complementary skills of Melton / Mathews in the backcourt if they both stay 3-4 years.
