A by product of our undefeated non conference slate is all the national attention our program is receiving.
I, for one, wasn't as concerned about losing Jacobs and Jovanovic. Since they were part of the old KO staff I always felt like they might leave at a moments notice. Just a gut feeling.
Our freshmen guards are fun to watch. BOYS2MEN. Ready to ball!! Aggressive, confident and can impact the game instantly.
I've been watching Aaron since the opening tip and happy to announce that he is just an even keel kid. His body language stays the same no matter what. Some posters have attributed his play as lackadaisical and nonchalant but even when he was hitting on all cylinders vs BYU he was chill and relaxed.
Yes, I'm concerned about hero ball too since all these guys are highly regarded recruits who sometimes forget that team play will get us to the tournament and beyond. But I don't see it being too problematic because CAE and staff will go to the bench in a hurry.
Also, there are so many haters out there that do not want to see USC excel in both football and BB.
I'm talking about Trojan fans too who post on different sites about our weak scheduling.
Let me tell you right now, that Wyoming game will pay dividends down the road.
We came upon a hot shooting team that should have beat us and we never quit.
Trust me this will happen in league play and when they go on runs we have the guns to respond right back.
So without further adieu here is my mid-term report on our Trojan Ballers:
JMac "The Captain." Can he lead this team to a Sweet Sixteen?
Stewart If shot is off, we need blocks and steals.
Metu Next stop---NBA
BB Undefeated in non-conference w/o BB? Yeah Right!!!!
Melton The X Factor
Mathews Freshman Sensation
Aaron Overdue for another Big Game
Rakocevic Way ahead of Jovanovic. By year 3 should be a major contributor
Finally, I'm gonna end on a conservative note and say we finish 12-6 in PAC12 play.
But who would have guessed that this program has the potential to reach 25+ wins??!!
Happy New Year!!
Fight On!!
