Who would have thought USC 14-0? To be undefeated is amazing, but to do it with what AE has said the 320 something youngest team in the nation out of 351 and not much of BB. Agree on the officiating. Pac-12 officiating is a joke. Quite honestly I don't think this team has played even close to its best game. There best game to date was probably SMU.
All that being said it could get ugly on Friday night if this team plays like last night. Oregon is not the same team as last year for whatever reason. Watching the UCLA/Oregon game last night I came away thinking UCLA is a much better team. Wouldn't doubt if UCLA beats them easily at home. If this was last years Oregon team I would say we would have no shot but something is just off on this years team. Even at that USC will have to play its best game of the year by far to win at Oregon. Brooks is just a nightmare match-up for us. Not expecting to win but if we play well there is no reason to not think this game will be close. With a healthy BB this team is pretty much on par with Oregon. One thing that has been said is how much length we have. But another reason I believe we have made strides on Oregon is physicality. Don't think we're quite there but its getting closer. As freshman RAk, Mathews, and Melton are pretty physical players.
This USC team is a completely different team than last year. Last year Jacobs looked to push as much as possible. This year we are more of a half court team and play under control. BB being out may be part of the reason why we are not pushing the ball up the court. The funny thing is UCLA looks like us last year as far a pushing the pace. It may be a good reason why our assists seem way down from last year. Our turnovers have to be way down from last year. Pace of play sort of goes with assist/turnover ratio. Chase, maybe you can compare last years Assist/Turnover Ratio to this years.
