but with current players will always fall short of being a great team. We can be a really good team when Boatwright comes back from injury. I think next year, depending on who comes back, our team has potential to be great – Sweet 16 or better. We have a lot of underclassmen this year, and hopefully next year everyone will come back bigger and stronger. I’m also not worried about the loss to Oregon Ducks. Even the some of the best teams in the country almost lost, or lost a game to a less talented team. 12/28 De Paul 65 Villanova (1) 68 Close game. Cats won in the last possession to De Paul team that we beat in neutral court. 12/31 Duke (5) 78 Virginia Tech 89 North Carolina (9) 63 Georgia Tech 75 Florida St (20) 60 Virginia (12) 58 1/1 Minnesota 91 Purdue (15) 82 1/3 Kansas State 88 Kansas 90 Wildcats would have won if they made the three prior to Jayhawks making their winning shot on blatant travel lay up. So I’m not panicking because we lost big away at Eugene. I appreciate y’all being so super critical of our players and coaches (we need you in this board ). It is a long season and I’m happy with our team and coaching staff. We will win some big games but will also continue to lose some games. But overall, with 14-1 record, this team is trending upwards and in the right direction. We are still ranked 25 in the AP poll to boot - not bad for a football school I expect our team to beat Stanford and Ca this week, and get a split against Utah and Colorado the following week. Happy New Year everyone and Fight On!

I think you're selling this year's team short because they got blown out by a top 10 team, on a 35 game home win streak, without one of their top playmakers/shooters. I expect Bennie to be close to 100% by the time the Pac 12 tourney rolls around, and if the team is still in position for a bid, for the team to do damage in March. USC can still be a sweet sixteen team this season, just have to get healthy and win the games they're capable of. When the team is getting blocks/steals that lead to easy transition buckets and hits its 3s, it's a tough out.

Agreed. USC faced an Oregon team that was almost 100%. Oregon would likely be undefeated if they were healthy all season. Definitely a top-10 team when healthy.
