Chris Boucher sprained his ankle in practice earlier this week, and missed the game against UNLV on Saturday night. Reportedly, Oregon expects him back for the UCLA game a week from Wednesday. We play Oregon two days later on Friday.
Washington broke its 4-game losing streak by beating Western Michigan Sunday night. Sadly, for Oregon State, the losing streak against Division I teams was extended to 9 games. (SC plays Oregon St. a week from Wednesday.)
While UCLA, Arizona and Cal all took care of business .... ASU did not, losing for the 5th time ... this time to New Mexico State.
On a positive note, Wazzu beat Santa Clara.
However, Washington, ASU, Wazzu and Oregon State have now combined for 24 non-conference losses. Last season, the entire conference only lost 33 games outside of conference -- both preseason and post-season. (This year, that number is already 38.)

ASU, U Dub, WSU, OSU
The good news is that the team plays these guys 8 times.... I think that can be 8 wins. The flip side is that AZ, ucla, OR will ace them as well. I can see 4-5 have's at the top and the have-nots in the basement in this conference....
The rubber meets the road playing the Stan / Cal / UT / CO schools. 2 at home, 2 away...
Any win vs AZ, ucla, and OR is gravy as far as I'm concerned. Sweep the previous 8 teams and that's 12 wins in conference and 25 wins overall...
Win two in the conference tourney and I can see a 4-5 seed.... maybe a 3 if the guys can get a W or 2 vs the top 3 in the Pac12...
A historic season by many accounts.... would love to see the team 14-0 going into the Oregon game... with the opportunity for the best start in USC history.... also, undefeated in non conference + a winning record in conference would be a milestone as well....
How do you like them apples?
FIGHT ON

I'm glad SC plays the Bay Area schools at home this time. For some odd reason we seem to have a hard time winning up in the Bay Area. But on the flip side, SC has to go to Colorado/Utah, not sure how good this team will handle the altitude adjustment. Would have been nice if we had Bennie by the time SC goes on the road against the Mountain schools.
